ABOUT

Joe Wilson’s practice focuses on notions of objecthood and painting exploring the threshold between art and life. Wilson's works form 

installations that accentuate the archetypes of displaying artwork and conventions relating to the viewing space of painting, including the 

studio, home, gallery, and museum. 

Exhibited extensively in group and solo exhibitions at ARI's (artist run initiatives) and various commercial Galleries. His work is held by private collectors in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane; and internationally in London, Los Angeles, and New York. His work is held in the St Vincents Art Collection, Sydney, and Allens Art Collection, Melbourne. Graduating in 2014 with first class honours in painting, Wilson is undertaking a Masters in Painting in 2015 at the National Art School, Darlinghurst.
